Although you may have already attended a Campus Visit or Open House, Orientation will be your next step toward becoming a part of the UNO community. Orientation sessions will take place this summer and every new student is required to attend a session before registering for Fall classes. Registration for sessions will be made available in mid-March. Our website is designed to answer many of the questions you might have about Orientation. If you have further questions after reviewing our website, please call or email our office. Office phone 402-554-2677 Email unoorientation@unomaha.edu

Student Checklist

Please review this checklist prior to starting your first term at UNO.

Turn in Immunization Forms

You will be receiving a Pre-Enrollment Health Requirement form in a separate mailing. Proof of two immunizations for measles (rubeola), usually given as an MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), is a requirement for all State of Nebraska schools. A photocopy of your high school or other immunization record with two rubeola shots will be accepted. The information may be hand delivered, mailed, or faxed to Student Health Services at 402-554-2387. Please make sure your name, birth date, and NU ID appear on any documents. You may request that the immunizations be given, for a fee, at Student Health Services.

This form must be completed and turned in before you can sign up for Orientation or register for classes.

Register for an Orientation Session

We have separate programs for Freshmen and Transfer students, as well as Parents and Families of students.

You will need your NU ID and password to view and register for available Orientation dates and times. Your NU ID was sent to you in an email and also in correspondence you received from the Office of Admissions. Your password was created by you when you applied online for admission to the university.

Space is limited and sessions fill up quickly. Please plan to attend Orientation as early as possible to get the best selection of classes and times.
